Vajrayogini
Young and of graceful appearance, this dakini (the female wisdom being) stands in the dancing posture upon a corpse. She is completely naked and clad only in the bone ornaments of the charnel grounds. Her right hand wields the flaying knife and her left hand is holding the skull cup in front of her chest. Her face bears a disturbing expression, a combination of wrathful stare and carnivorous smile that is baring her sharp canines. Her head is adorned with the diadem of withered skulls. This work of art, in contrast to the otherwise very similar neighbouring statues (ABS 253 and 254), is lacking the small head of a sow that protrudes from behind and above the right ear in the other two statues. Therefore, it is most probable that another deity is depicted here, namely Vajrayogini, the "Diamond Yogini".
