The “pensive Avalokiteshvara Padmapani” wears princely ornaments, namely a one- pointed crown in front of the elaborately arranged hair, reminiscent of the fan- shaped turban of Gandharan sculptures, and decorated in front with a small effigy of Amitabha, earrings, a necklace, and ornaments at the upper arms and wrists.
