Fine-grained brownish stone (possibly phyllite).
There are remains of black and red painted pigments.
 
The unidentified bearded monk with facial expressions of a portrait like character is seated in the diamond attitude (vajraparyan kasana) on a decorated cushion and displays the gesture of meditation (dhyana-mudra). He is clad with a voluminous array of monastic garments (tricivara), the borders decorated with geometric patterns. Note the pair of shoes placed in front.
