The uninscribed image represents an unidentified Karmapa. He is seated in the diamond attitude (vajraparyankasana) on a double lotus pedestal. He is clad in an array of monastic garments (civara) decorated with geometric patterns and wears the typical cap of the Karma bKa’ brgyud («karma kagyü») order.
