This rare hanging ornament, wrought in repoussé technique (drift work), is partly mercury-gilt and painted. It shows alternating images of the meditating Buddha Shakyamuni and vajras placed within rondels. The rondels are formed by a climbing plant. The rim is decorated with a pearl frieze and stylised flame motifs.
