This image was allegedly found in China in the greater Dunhuang region. However, the style is clearly more closely related to the arts of Kashmir than those of Central Asia or China. Vajrasattva is depicted in the noble attitude (sattvaparya kåsana). He holds the diamond sceptre (vajra) and the prayer-bell (ghanta).
